Hi [student's name]-- This is [your name] from [org]. You attended an RRP training taught by me recently. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the photo we took of you for your certificate and it is not usable. Would you mind emailing me a replacement as soon as possible? It should be a current color photo that clearly shows your features. The photography doesn't have to be amazing; it just has to be you and adhere to the guidelines set below. This is what EPA requires with respect to the photo: 1. No hats or dark glasses. 2. Name card to be held at mid-chest level, not in line with the shoulders or directly under the chin. Give it a little room so we can crop it out. 3. Try to get something nondescript as the background--no pictures of you sitting at a desk with other people or distracting objects behind you. The photo can be taken outdoors if there's nothing too distracting in the background. Do the best you can. 4. Don't submit a photo where part of your head is chopped off. 5. You should be photographed looking directly at the camera, preferably not blinking. No poses. Think of a mugshot or passport photo. We should see your entire face and both ears. 6. The photo should be in focus. Watch out for "multiple flash" cameras that are designed to reduce red eye. If you move or the camera moves before the flashing has stopped, there will be a blur. 7. Do not manipulate the photo. We'll crop it and color-correct it on this end. 8. The photo should be in the .JPG format, if possible. The EPA doesn’t accept any other type of file. 9. The photo must be in color. It's okay to submit more than one photo. We'll pick the best one. Please submit this photo to me by [date--one week from today]. Thanks, [your name]
